MODERNIZATIONLive demo

ModernizeReady

Find out what your legacy code really does, before you rewrite a line of it.

Point ModernizeReady at a codebase and get every business rule in plain English, the data each rule touches and a map of what depends on what, each traced to its source line. Then see the same logic rewritten in a modern language.

THE PROBLEM

The rules are in the code. The people who wrote it have moved on.

Decades of business decisions live in COBOL programs, batch jobs and aging Java services, and often nowhere else.

The documentation is out of date, and the engineers who understood the system are retiring.

Before anyone can modernize safely, someone has to answer a plain question: what does this system actually do?

HOW IT WORKS

From legacy code to something you can check, in three steps

  1. 01

    Read

Point it at a sample, a public GitHub repository or a .zip. It inventories programs, jobs, services and data definitions without running any of the code.

  2. 02

    Explain

Each program's business rules are written in plain English, tied to the data they read and change, and cited to the lines they came from.

  3. 03

    Convert

Pick a rule, a program or a service and see it rewritten in Java, Python, C# or TypeScript, with unit tests, beside the original.

INSIDE THE PILOT

What you see in the demo

01

Every business rule in plain English

Each rule says when it applies and what happens, shows how confident the reading is, and links to the exact lines of code it came from.

Business Rules page showing a rule with its conditions, outcome, data and source lines

02

A map of what depends on what

Programs, batch jobs, screens, files and tables, with every connection backed by the line of code that proves it.

03

The same logic in a modern language

A rule or a whole program rewritten in Java, Python, C# or TypeScript with unit tests, shown beside the legacy source.

A converted rule shown beside the legacy source it came from

04

A data dictionary read from the source

Record layouts, tables and classes field by field, with where each is defined and which rules use it. It is parsed, not inferred, so it is exact.

WHO IT IS FOR

Built for the people who own the legacy estate

CIOs and IT leaders

Evidence for the modernization decision: what the system does, and where the risk sits.

Enterprise architects

Rules, data and dependencies in one place, each traceable to its source.

Business analysts

Rules in plain English to check, correct and sign off, without reading COBOL.

UNDER THE HOOD

Production-grade, even as a pilot

  • Isolated container on AWS. Runs on its own, behind a shared load balancer.
  • HTTPS only. Every connection is encrypted with a managed certificate.
  • Secrets in a vault. Keys live in AWS Secrets Manager, never in code.
  • Code is read, never run. Every file is treated as text; nothing from a codebase is executed.

QUESTIONS

Before you ask

Is this a finished product?

It is a working pilot: a real application you can use, scoped to show the approach. A full engagement adapts it to your systems, data and reporting needs.

Does the demo use real data?

No. The demo analyzes three open-source sample codebases: a mainframe credit card system, a Java application and an online shop built from small services.

How do I get into the live demo?

Open the live demo and choose "Explore the demonstration". No password is needed, and the account is read-only.

Can I rely on what it says?

The rules and converted code are written by an AI model, so review them before relying on them. Every rule links to its source lines so that it can be checked, and code is only ever read, never run.

Can it run inside our environment?

Yes. Every pilot is a self-contained container, so it can be deployed in your own cloud account or data center.
